Kelantan Kota Bharu Food Education Marathon 路 Activity Report

1. Project Overview

To deepen local residents' awareness of healthy eating and debunk myths around high-sugar, high-salt diets, the Ingrelicious Nutrition Consultancy team successfully completed an intensive 6-day Food Education Marathon in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. Centered around "combating chronic disease risks and promoting health for children and seniors," this series of events reached over 1,000 participants through diverse interactive sessions.

2. Execution & Key Highlights

  1. School Food Education & "Bring Health Home"

    • School Workshops: Reached nearly 1,000 students across SJK(C) Chung Cheng and SJK(C) Peir Chih through visual experiments on "Uncovering Hidden Sugar" and the Suku Suku Separuh (¼, ¼, ½) healthy plate breakdown.

    • Extension Contests: Launched the school-wide "Bring Health Home" competitions (healthy Kelantanese food drawing for lower primary, nutrition short video contest for upper primary) alongside a charity book sale of The Nutrition of Food-Lovers to support school development funds.

  2. Senior Nutrition & Chronic Disease Talk

    • Hosted a dedicated session for seniors at Fatima Church Hall. Our Registered Dietitian provided practical guidance on modifying authentic local dishes to stay healthy and delicious while managing chewing difficulties, slower digestion, and chronic conditions.

  3. Parent-Child Food Education & Supermarket Explorations (5 Sessions)

    • Organized a parent-child nutrition workshop and hands-on no-cook platter class at "Hui Wan Yi Jia". Conducted 2 adult supermarket tours and 2 "Little Nutrition Detective" workshops at AEON Mall Kota Bharu, teaching participants to read the Nutrition Information Panel, identify hidden sugar, and apply the "Ingredient List First-Place Rule".

3. Conclusion, Preview & Cross-Sector Collaboration Call

This marathon was made possible through the enthusiastic support of local followers and generous sponsors, establishing a high standard of trust and proving that authentic food education—not direct selling or MLM—can create lasting impact.
